Crowland is at the southern edge of Lincolnshire, a small market town midway between Spalding and Peterborough, its main claim to fame being the place the Crowland Chronicles a contemporary account of life in medieval times were written.
Burghley House and beautiful Stamford are near by, a little further and into Leicestershire
is Belvoir Castle; in Northamptonshire is Geddington and its famous Eleanor Cross
with the attractive Wadenhoe village nearby and much closer to Crowland is Helpston,
birthplace of the poet John Clare, these are just some of our local attractions

Crowland Abbey where the monks put pen to paper, or should that be quill to parchment, writing the Chronicles remains in use as a place of worship to this day.
In the middle of town at the meeting of North, South, East and West streets stands the three sided Trinity Bridge which once spanned the confluence of three rivers.
Lincoln, Norwich and Ely cathedrals are 40 miles, 60 miles and 25 miles away respectively, we are 35 miles from Cambridge and less than an hours drive from the beaches of north Norfolk and not much farther from the Norfolk Broads.
